Newgate Development

Following a numerous months of tendering and negotiations, TOTAL were appointed as Specialist Demolition Contractor by our client on the prestigious Newgate Development, Newcastle –upon-Tyne, NE1 Works included extensive Asbestos Removal, internal soft strip of the 10 storey hotel and office buildings, hoarding installation and Deconstruction of the existing buildings. Works were vast and TOTAL deployed 2 sets of full demolition teams, we had to overcome numerous party wall demolition agreements and methodologies. Dust was an issue due to the weather of which TOTAL deployed over 3 specialist Dust Cannons to minimise the effect of the dust, we continued with the ongoing noise and vibration monitoring on a daily basis and liaised with the local people. Works were concluded to a very high standard and we look forward to working with our client once again.
