We are proud to be appointed to deliver the full demolition, asbestos removal and excavation enabling works at the former King Street Fire Station, Stockport – a project that combined technical precision with a strong emphasis on safety, innovation, and client collaboration.

One of the most significant challenges of the scheme was the demolition of the site’s specialist fire training tower, which required careful planning and control. To ensure the protection of surrounding structures and the public realm, our in-house team designed and fabricated a custom debris guard system. This bespoke solution enabled us to progress the deconstruction safely and efficiently, providing additional reassurance to the client and stakeholders.

As demolition advanced, our skilled site team maintained a strong focus on environmental responsibility, dust suppression, and controlled waste management, ensuring that recycling and sustainability targets were met throughout.

The project has already achieved major progress milestones, with the training tower and ancillary structures successfully brought down to plan, and enabling works proceeding ahead of programme.

Most importantly, client satisfaction has remained at the heart of delivery.
